LOWER ARM
REPLACEMENT
SINGAPORE
Lower arm wear is one of the most common — and most misdiagnosed — suspension issues on Singapore roads. We replace the complete lower arm assembly: arm, bushings, and ball joint as a single unit. No piecemeal repairs, no shortcuts.
MERCEDES-BENZ
ARM REPLACEMENT
Lower arm and bushing wear is common across the Mercedes-Benz range — C-Class, E-Class, GLC, CLA and more. WhatsApp us your chassis number and we'll confirm parts availability before you come in.

The right parts choice depends on your car's age, mileage, and how long you plan to keep it. We'll advise on which makes sense for your situation.
Lower arm assemblies sourced directly from the car manufacturer. Identical to what an authorised dealer fits. Recommended for newer cars and vehicles you intend to keep long-term.
Quality aftermarket assemblies meeting the original geometry and load specification. The practical choice for higher-mileage or older vehicles where Genuine parts aren't cost-effective.

WHAT AFFECTS THE COST?
Lower arm replacement costs vary. Here's what determines the final price so you know what to expect.
A Toyota Vios and a Mercedes-Benz E-Class use very different arms at very different price points. European and luxury vehicles typically cost more. Japanese makes are generally more affordable.
Original Genuine costs more but restores your car to factory specification. OEM is the most cost-effective option for older or higher-mileage vehicles.
Front lower arm replacement is more common and generally more accessible. We recommend replacing in pairs where wear is similar — replacing just one creates geometry imbalance.
We always replace the complete arm with bushings and ball joint — not just the bushings. Shops quoting bushing-only work are comparing different scopes. Always ask what's included.

SIGNS OF WORN LOWER ARMS
Lower arm wear develops gradually. By the time symptoms are obvious, the wear is usually significant. Don't wait.
A hollow knock or clunk when going over bumps, especially at slow speed, is the most common early sign. It's usually the ball joint or bushing moving under load.
Worn lower arm bushings allow the front subframe geometry to shift under load. The first symptom is often a vibration felt through the wheel, particularly at speed.
Lower arm wear affects caster and camber geometry. If the car drifts left or right without input, worn lower arm components are a common culprit — even if alignment has been recently done.
When the lower arm can no longer hold the wheel at its correct geometry, the tyre contacts the road at a slight angle. This causes accelerated wear on the inner or outer edge of the tread.
Worn bushings introduce small amounts of play into the suspension geometry. The cumulative effect is a steering feel that has become less direct — noticeable when changing lanes at speed.
Visually cracked or split bushing rubber, or any detectable play when the wheel is pushed and pulled by hand, means the lower arm needs immediate attention.

Full lower arm assembly replacement — arm, bushings, and ball joint as a unit. Suspension bolts are torqued at ride height, not at full droop. Typically completed within 2–3 hours.
Lower arm replacement directly affects wheel alignment geometry. Every job includes a Hunter Hawkeye 4-wheel alignment — at no extra charge. One stop, fully sorted.
Lower arm replacement changes your wheel alignment angles. We have the Hunter Hawkeye Elite in-house — the same machine used by authorised dealerships. Every lower arm job includes a full 4-wheel alignment at no extra charge.
Most workshops tighten suspension bolts with the car on a lift — wheels at full droop. The problem: once the car is back on the ground, the bushings are already twisted against their natural position. Every driving cycle compounds that pre-load, accelerating bushing wear significantly. We torque all suspension fasteners with the car at ride height — weight on the wheels, suspension in its natural loaded position. The rubber settles correctly, moves freely, and lasts as it should.
WHY WE REPLACE THE FULL ASSEMBLY
Most customers come in asking for "just the bushings." We understand why — it sounds cheaper. But replacing bushings alone is a false economy that leads to the same problems returning within months.
Pressing new bushings into a worn arm is only reliable if the arm itself is in good condition. Most arms that need bushings have already developed fatigue, scoring, or deformation at the bushing seats. The new bushing will not seat correctly and will fail prematurely.
Ball joint wear is concurrent. If the bushings are worn, the ball joint has typically been through the same number of kilometres and load cycles. Replacing only the bushings and leaving a marginal ball joint is a safety risk.
New arm, new bushings, new ball joint — factory tolerances, correct geometry, guaranteed fitment. One job done properly. No revisiting the same corner of the car in six months.
A complete arm from the manufacturer or OE supplier is pre-assembled to exact specification. No pressing, no risk of misalignment from improper bushing installation.
A failed ball joint can cause sudden loss of steering control. On a car that has worn bushings, the ball joint has been under identical stress. We don't leave that risk on the car.
Labour is the same whether you replace the arm or just the bushing. Doing the full arm now means you won't be back for the ball joint in six months — paying labour twice for the same corner of the car.
